Alex represents clients in commercial real estate, complex business transactions, business litigation and complex dispute resolution. Alex draws on his experience trying and resolving high-stakes cases to counsel clients on the legal, operational, compliance, and strategic issues that arise during the lifecycle of major commercial projects.
Alex works with developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, contractors, and closely held businesses at every stage of a transaction, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, and joint venture formation. He also handles complex commercial disputes, ranging from complex contractual disputes, construction claims, business torts, and regulatory compliance issues in state and federal courts and in arbitration.
Alex started out at a large international law firm in Atlanta, handling a varied complex litigation docket on behalf of major corporations, international manufacturers, real estate developers, general contractors, and municipalities in courts and arbitrations around the country. Alex went on to practice at a premiere boutique Atlanta trial firm, where he served as lead associate litigating and trying complex product liability cases.
Alex grew up in Roswell, Georgia. He studied Political Science at the University of Georgia before earning his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he held the Hughes Spalding Scholarship and served on both the Editorial and Managing Boards of the Georgia Law Review. His student Note appeared in the Law Review in 2021, and an article he co-authored as a research assistant ran in the William & Mary Business Law Review in 2023. As a third-year student, he prosecuted cases for the Morgan County District Attorney’s Office under Georgia’s Third-Year Practice Act.
Alex is a native of Roswell, Georgia. Alex now lives in Atlanta with his wife, Meredith and two children and is a member of Christ Covenant Church. When he’s not practicing law, Alex enjoys playing golf, Georgia football, and the Atlanta Braves.
Alex is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and serves as a deacon and Christ Covenant Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Experience
- Assisted in contract negotiations on behalf of an investor-owned electric utility with general contractors, OEMs, and other project stakeholders in connection with new generation development and expansion of existing gas and oil fired power plants.
- Represented the design-build-finance contractor in connection with complex claims asserted by and against the contractor arising out of one of the largest public-private partnership infrastructure projects in Georgia. The project involved the reconstruction of one of the busiest highway interchanges in the state while maintaining continuous traffic flow throughout construction. His work included the management and coordination of legal strategy relating to high-value construction, scheduling, delay, disruption, and project administration issues involving multiple project participants and stakeholders.
- Represented an international fiber board manufacturer in a complex dispute arising from the construction of a state-of-the-art fiber board manufacturing facility. Work involved advising on significant construction and commercial issues related to project execution, delays, performance, and contract administration, while coordinating dispute strategy and resolution efforts associated with a large-scale industrial manufacturing project.
- Served as outside general counsel for one of the largest independent non=profit organizations dedicated to ocean research, advising the organization through contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Served as lead associate in two-week trial in Houston County, Georgia resulting in a $6.8 million verdict involving claims of defective installation and placement of high-voltage power lines. The verdict is believed to be the second largest verdict in Houston County history.
- Served as lead associate in various product liability lawsuits, securing over $63 million in settlements and jury verdicts over three and a half years.
